Any tips for dyno?
Hi,
I am getting my car dynoed in two weeks. Is there anything I should do my the car before I get this done? For example, do I go there with a certain octane of gasoline, or do I need to change the oil first (or after)? I'm looking for those kinds of tips!
Thank you for helping me,
Wolf50000

I would personal make sure to check the plugs, wires, fuel filter, look for any leaks, etc before going if possible. Places around here will turn you away if there's a prob with the car. If everything is ok/recently changed, then I wouldn't worry about it

Are you just going to get numbers are you doing tuning as well?
Rotor-rooter's right. There is no need to run race gas or change your oil (unless it needs changing!). Just make sure your plugs and filters are good and check your boost couplers and lines.
My very first dyno run, I pulled 175 rwhp and freaked out. Turned out the hot side intercooler coupler had slipped a little bit out of the clamp....

Yea I would change the oil first, Like Rotor said check the plugs and so on, just make sure everything is working thats gonna help you put down power and not hurt anything... BTW if your running full exhaust P, MP, CB, might want to bring some ear plugs... Haha

bring about ten bags of ice for your IC.....and bring an extra fan too.
do not let them get your car too hot...be sure they watch the exhaust gas temps...and be sure they ease it up to the right afrs..or down....baby steps....
cool it down between runs....always.
