Question Any Suggestions?

I'm buying a factory reman engine soon for my FD and was wondering if anyone had suggestions of other mods to install while I'm getting the engine installed? Also, what are the few things I should mention while they are installing the engine; like do I have to tell them to tune up the car so it works with the new engine better? or Are there certain things I need to mod my stock FD for the new engine? etc.

If you are getting a reman put in the car (and it's completely stock) you may as well have some/all of the following things done:

1. Vacuum lines replaced
2. Coolant hoses replaced
3. Oil lines to the turbos replaced
4. Downpipe installed
5. Injectors cleaned and flow balanced (with new O-Rings and grommets).
6. New Fuel Pulsation Damper

Those are just a few things I would do if I was getting a reman put in on a stock FD.

Good luck.

Well, the downpipe does both (enhance and reliability).

There are tons of things you *could* do. However, I would recommend keeping it simple for a little while.

The only other things, that you can/should look into, can easily be done after getting the engine installed (replacing the stock AST and upgrading the radiator).

The things in the first list are a few things that would be much easier done while the engine is not installed.
