Question About Vacuum Hose No-No's

Is it okay to replace the hoses for the oil nozzles, catch tank and fuel pressure regulator with silcon? What are the one's that should be replaced with silicon?

Short answer, yes to all of the above.

If you want to be **** keep the lines to the catch tank in rubber, they will resist the oil better.

I'm using silicon for my map sensor. No problems other than the ones that were already there.

The only one you've mentioned that I would worry about would be the catch tank since it handles gas fumes.

I've heard of people using silicon hoses for everything on thier FDs for several years. I've yet to hear of a failure. But all the manufacters of silicon hose will tell you they are not for use with fuel or oil. It's your decision.
