Any recommendations for a carbon fiber air intake setup?
Now that the exhaust side of my engine is sorted, the other side is my main power sapper and I figure it's time I got around to replacing the stock airbox. Do you learned fellows have opinions on what's floating around out there?

If I were going to go non-carbon (which I might, honestly) I kinda like the Pettit TKT Cold Air Intake, since I run stock turbos.

auto exe (as stated above) and the old M2 air box are the only two carbon fiber intakes that i can think of, but the auto exe is expensive and the original M2 air box is hard to find, there are a couple of companies that make aluminum replicas of the M2. but keep your eye out in the for sale section, they show up every once in a while.
as far as the pettit TKT kit and the fighters garage kit, both companies make good products, but these kits arent really a true CAIs, hot air from the engine can come in from behind the heat shield as it is just open. that heat shield will work well to keep hot air from the radiator out, but the hottest thing in the engine bay is that big hot turbo manifold sitting right behind it. there are better options out there in that price range.

anyway, the two carbon fiber intake boxes are the Aut-Exe & the M2. personally I have the M2 and it works great. the auto-exe usually has to be imported unless you can find a used a used one in the classifieds (good luck...) and M2 is has been out of business for awhile, so your best bet is also to watch the classifieds section.

The autoexe is an exceptional intake, very high quality and a lot of engineering went into it:
Yes, it is A LOT of money but IMO you get what you pay for with this item. I have the Pettit intake and while it works fine, it is very uneasy on the eyes and incredibly overpriced for two intakes, two pipes and two heatshields that cost less then $75. MS also made a cf intake which had a MSRP of about $1500 (not a typo)...
