so the problem I'm having lately is after my car has warmed up the idle will be jumpy and will stall alot on its own out of no where. Also while driving at random times usually during boost. my car will die. just lose all power. if i leave it in gear once it loses power and im still rolling the rpms will still be up but dying quickly and the car is still trying to run but failing miserably. once the car dies i let it sit for a minute. and it runs perfectly fine for about 5 minutes then the same thing all over again. i recently noticed my down pipe turning bright red. (note that i have a jdm 93 rx7 so i do not have a pre-cat) and also my heat light came on today while driving when my car died and would not start again. so with that said, would this all be caused by a clogged cat? it does explain the heat light, glowing down pipe and car dying during boost. anything insight would be great.
Also i'm waiting for enough time in a day to take my cat out and drive without it on to see if problem is solved.
