RX-7pl, I am going to send a pack of pitbulls to your house if you do not start using that search function soon.

A million people have that blow-off valve on these cars, it sounds like a BOV, and works like a BOV should.

Probably would be 100 times easier just to answer the damn question than to bitch someone out for not "searching".

yeah but would it be as fun for the "gurus"?

as a newbie the search feature answers about 90% of my questions. it is way more useful than asking questions on here. when you as a question all you get it sarcasm where as the search yields answers. The same answers that the supposed know-it-alls pretend are secrets.

But my point is if you KNOW the answer...just answer it! I've read the same post over and over and over...answer's still the same....so I'll answer just the same.

jspec,

What's the answer going to be?

"yes we've used it."

Then it's going to turn into:

"how does it sound?"

When something has been discussed over and over and over against with mutliple opinions being presented it wastes everyone's time to have to re-answer the question. It even wastes the original poster's time - the search function would save them a lot of questions.

It also comes down to this: I'm not going to sit and do the research and work for people to figure out the answers to their questions when they could be spending their own time doing it themselves with the information right there. If I'm working on a project or challenge with other posters of course we'll be sharing ideas. If the question is a particularly hard question - then it's a valid one.

How would you feel if someone came to the board every day and said:

"Anyone know how to get JDM cars into the US?"

The answer's easy....DON'T ANSWER! NOBODY asked you to answer. The people that WANT to answer...let them answer. It's a simple question.

If I CHOOSE not to answer all the thousands of threads discussing JDM FD's, I won't!

Nobody asked you to be a "smartass"...

just about every question that gets asked on this forum has been asked at least once before. Why dont we just close the RX7 club forum and call it a search forum.
I just had one of the moderators close one of my threads about "radiators". He said do a search. Maybe the search wasnt giving me the answers I wanted. IF YOU DONT AGREE WITH THE THREAD, DONT READ IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i guess my point is that most people on this forum never give a decent answer so people should save themselves the frustration and search. i agree that a straight forward answer is the best solution. it is a forum it is not just an archive of information. opinions change and new info is gathered about products. some subjects are beaten into the ground though.

This is why I don't spend a lot of my time here. I have to wade through all the BS to find the real answer to a question even if I use the search feature.
