any ideas?

I already have to replace my front bumper.. (my dumbass wrecked..) I plan on getting the 99 spec complete kit for $2999 at srmotorsports.com I also need a new hood.. I am thinking about getting the scoot fiberglass hood. I'm almost set on getting the fluydine radiator and M2 cf intake box w/ hard piping. I will either get the M2 medium or large smic. The only thing I don't like about the M2 large is the damn relocation of the battery thing. Does anyone have any suggestions where I move it to? Any pics? Which would be better.. the M2 medium or large? Another thing that sucks about getting the M2 smic (either medium or large) and the M2 cf intake box is that I'm not sure if they would cause problems with the fitament of the scoot hood. What about a torque brace? I hear the R1 braces will fit with the scoot hood.. but not sure. Any suggestions and pics would be appreciated. thanks alot.

and another thing.. is the body of the Spirit R the same as the body of the 99 efini?

i would get the m2 medium smic since it has less pressure drop then the large. you also wont have to relocate your battery, but if you do go with the large a good idea on where to put the battery could be one of the rear storage bins?

The M2 intake does not work with the scoot hood. Talk to Chuck at Rotary Extreme. I'm not sure but the rx7fashion intake may fit with the scoot hood.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I think the scoot hood is too much. Go for the mazdaspeed style. You get venting along with subtler looks that will go better with the 99-front.

The exterior of the Spirit-R is "99-spec" except for the wheels and paint.

EDIT: BTW, you should be able to get the complete 99-front end for cheaper than SR Motorsports. Talk to Jason at the rx7store or Jason at Jt-imports.

If you're getting a vented hood, consider Chuck Huang's HMIC at www.rotaryextreme.com Do a search, and type "hmic" You'll find a thread titled, "Horizontal Mount Intercoolers" It's a good read.

Well Jason at JT-imports is in Japan...so I don't know if that qualifies for here.

You finally decide what you're going to do with your car, Manny? Actually PM me a response if you want so we don't hi-jack his thread too badly.

Front bumper is show its age. New look is awesome and that price is pretty darn good for a complete OEM replacement of everything. Awesome one stop shopping. Thanks for that link ttb.

No, I mean the entire 99 spec kit. Comes with the rear circle tail lights, complete front bumper: which includes both turning lamps, the lower lip, both side markers, the rear adjustable spoiler, front and rear emblems. I have to buy the fog lights for like $199/each and the brake ducts for like $ The Insurance company is tyring to be a bitch. The insurance company sent the check today. I was so pissed.. I barely glanced at it and it said $28XX..something like that.. I mean WTF.. that's suppose to cover parts and labor? The insurance adjuster that came out and looked at my car didn't even pop the hood to see if the engine was damaged. (I wasn't there when he made an estimate on it.) The insurance company said they will pay for any extra negalaties they missed.. engine and body wise. If that's the case.. I might just go shopping.. What I might do is just get a regular hood for now.. hell idk.. I really think that Scoot one is sweet though. thanks alot.

Whoah, hold it a minute. The insurance company sent you a check BEFORE you got an estimate from a body shop? Do NOT cash that check. By law, the insurance company has to pay for the repairs at the shop of your choice. Don't let them get away with that ****. Who are you with?

I use allstate insurance. The adjuster from the insurance company went to the towing company where my car is. He looked at it and made an estimate. No repair shop of any kind has looked at my car yet. Only the insurance adjuster.. who claims to know how much damage is done.. I still don't know where to take my car for the repairs.. The way it looks.. it's only body damage.. so I'm going to get a body shop to make an estimate on that then let someone check the engine out. I might have to settle for the mazda dealership.. The check they sent wouldn't even cover all the body parts.. not to mention the labor costs and shipping of the parts.. thanks alot.
