well im no dummy to the automotive world, i understand that its gonna take money, time and a lot of dedication. nothing is really reliable when building a car, what i meant is a shop that has done this kind of work before and is not just winging it when building my car. i realize that the car is gonna cost some money and maybe afforadble wasnt the best word lol

Edit: you have to kinda dig for this page: http://irperformance.com/?page_id=131
Edit2: Also, my setup is not a 600 rwhp one b/c that's not my goal. It's very close though--- one more fuel pump, a larger turbo and some c16 is all I'd need

550hp is much more realistic for your budget, considering everything in the car needs to be upgraded. Parts add up fast.

If I didn't work on my own FD, places/people I'd trust:
(1) Chris and Ari at www.RX7.com
(2) Chris at Banzai
(3) Glen at AZRR
(4) Ihor at IRP
(5) Cuddlebear/DJSeven
Edit: It's a short list based on my personal experience. Certainly other shops out there may be qualified, I just dont have firsthand experience with them.

lets just say you came to the right place to ask for advice on your 7
there are a lot of "local" shops out there that would charge you a limb for what these guys do on a regular basis, and are very good at it
anyone on that list would be a great choice IMO, just keep it in the community and you won't have a problem in dealing with vendors on this forum

Well at least you have lowered you HP expectations a little. Last week when you called our shop you wanted 700rwhp which is a pretty lofty goal for the budget that you told us you were working with.

No offense but you sound like the typical dreamer that comes on here posting asking questions of this nature. Most people that take on a large build do some research on their own. Imagine how many calls from dreamers people/shops like Banzai get. People looking for 550-600 HP are typically drag racers b/c that is the only place where that kind of power is of any use.
What happened to reading the FAQ thread that you said you were going to read in the newbie section?

My budget was never discussed in our phone call, i asked how much it will take and what i will need, when i asked if you guys had built a car to thats made this kind of power your response was "we've built drag purpose cars" not really the answer i was looking for. i also asked for a quote or a list of what parts you would use i was told to check out some of your prior builds on your website. what i seen isnt what im looking for. please don't take this response negatively, but your comment challenges my credibility , the last thing i want to have is people thinking I'm not serious with this build, thank you
You were told that every customer gets a webpage built for them and that looking at some of the other projects would give you an idea of the direction you would want to go in. We get phone calls from people like you and people that think a 20B can be installed for under 10K, a minimum of once a day.
Good luck with your project.

Consider that it wasn't Banzai's response that challenged your credibility. Maybe it was your questions.
