Any feedback on the PFC Race Intercooler

Tried to find some information on this intercooler but could not find much. The intercooler comparison page (http://www.fd3s.net/intercoolers.html) does not mention it. I recall reading somewhere that it is a copy of the M2/ASP large but looking at pictures of it it is has far fewer rows (17 vs. 22) so certainly is not an identical copy. Or perhaps it is a copy of the early M2/ASP large design?

I've never heard of a PFS Race IC. I just assumed they had the one medium sized SMIC which a lot of people have. If that's the one you are referring to, a lot of people REALLY like the IC. My main concern with it was the bends at the end tanks.

Pettit Racing has basically a M2/ASP Large copy which is their Coolcharge III SMIC. Maybe that's the one you were thinking about?

Looks like the Pettit Racing one to me, but I suppose its not out of reach that PFS didn't have a similar IC.

The only issues you will most likely run into with an SMIC of that size is intake selection as well as battery relocation.

My battery is already relocated but I'd better verify intake fitment.

Perhaps an M2 large would be a safer choice.

IMO, that price is a little steep for that IC. I've seen used ASP's go for a little less than that and they are a known/proven IC. However, its still not a bad deal as long as its not one of those cheapy eBay IC's.

The piping pictured with the IC does not inspire confidence - lots of bends. Ah well, time to search for an M2 large.

That core and duct look almost identical to an M2 Large. I should know, I just uninstalled mine and boxed it up not too long ago. Not sure what the hell is going on with those pipes, if that core mounts like the M2 large than those things aren't helping at all. Maybe offer to purchase the core and duct for less and have your own pipes made up?

The piping attaches to the stock arms (no need for a Greddy elbow and would work with an Efini y-pipe) - hence the bends.
