Any Chance of me passing Emissions?

I have a PFC on a ported engine with 1300cc secondaries. I am going to use the Stock Cat with Airpump and put some denatured alchohol in like a 10-15% mix. I really dont know what else I could do. Also can I plum the air pump straight to the cat or does it have to go through all those pipes on the manifold? I dont have all that stuff on the car anymore.

hook the airpump up so it is always on, and not just below certain RPMs. try to run as lean as possible without blowing the engine as well... or better yet find a station that will take a bribe LoL best of luck

That is what i was gonna do unfortunately I have no Idea how to tune and run it lean. I had some hookups on emissions but they have all dried up as far as I can tell. I guess im just gonna have to bite the bullet and risk failing.

Your better off lowering your ride height so you can't get on the rollers and they will give you a wavier. Springs are cheap if you have stock stuff so cut a set put them on then go is alot of work but hey you need to pass.

They will give you a wavier due to ride height? Wow ive never heard of that before. My car is pretty low as it is. I can never get it on a trailer, wonder if its already too low? But I have been to emissions before as it is and worked fine.

In md they do. A couple of my friends with coilovers just slam them down in a parking lot before the station with in a few inches of the ground and they wave them. Sometimes you have to do a sniffer a 3000rpm not sure how they do it in Ga though.

In GA they put it on a roller and do a idle and 3000 sniffer, but if you cant get on the rollers I guess you cant do the test. Wow I would figure they would just fail you for not being able to take the test.

Yea i plan to lower mine since as soon as i got temp tags they sent me a notice in the mail and my car is getting a rebuild with large street port and no emissons. I did get a 6 month wavier since i told them the engine is blown. Might just find a nice set of coil overs once i recover from rebuild debt.

Yeah I was just thinking this might be a good excuse to buy some coilovers, but I really would like to know it will work before I do it and go there yah know.

I dont think lowing the ride heights will fly in Ga. It just sounded kinda silly.
Jeremy, you have a good chance to get it pass if you have a PFC. You can go to the map trace cell on 3rd gear doing 35 and lower the number a bit and do the same for the 55 mph roll and lower the number a bit. The denatured alcohol will work, I didnt have an airpump, and I passed last year. PM me with the location I used the guy, it is a one time fee, and you can retest for free up to 1 month. I can help you out, give me a call.

In GA they do what's called a 25/25 test and a 50/15 test (see my posts on topic). With a cat and air pump, your car should pass with no problem. You've got the PFC, now's a good time to learn how to use it! Try it without adjusting fuel, and if you don't pass, you get a free second chance. If everything is working properly, the most you will need to do is lean it out a little below about 3,000 rpm.

Well that is odd since i thought we would be more strict on emissions but i know quite a few people that have done that. Actually there is a thread here were some Md guys lowered their cars to pass. https://www.rx7club.com/ne-rx-7-forum-30/emissions-stations-md-739970/ But you should be able to make it pass.

Do you guys think buying a new Magnaflow stock replacement cat would be better than the stock cat that has 60K miles on it or will that be fine? Im also having a hard time getting the car to idle at below 1200 rpm smoothly. I know they check the idle also just for RPM. I need to look back at the last one I did and see what is the allowable range.
