So i did a coolant flush today and after i drained the old coolant i put the plug back in and went to flush it out with water. MY radiator only took a gallon before it started coming out of the AST. Anyway i ran the car for 3 or so min and drained the water. Put the plug back in and went to fill it up with coolant, this time it did the same thing only taking around a gallon before coming out of the AST. I did the research and what I'm coming up with is the cooling system should take 2 gallons so wheres my problem? I drove it around for about 30mins (stoping to check if it was low) no problems my resovior is full as well. I even let it cool down after the drive and attempted to top it off but again just over filled and came out the AST soooo is it full?

 

There's a fair amount of coolant in the engine (not sure it's a gal tho). Instructions berlow...

Did you burp it? There are numerous YouTube videos on how to do that. And it helps using a Lisle funnel

 

Did you drain the engine? There is a bolt on the intermediate iron. Sounds like you are only draining the radiator, that does not empty the engine.

 

i did burp it i did not drain the engine so thats prob my problem thanks !!!
