Anti-detonation mod.K&D

I have my car in K&D right know getting J-spec twins put on.Skip metioned that there is a mod. called a Anti- detonation mod.Where you drive the car as hard as you want as hard as you want...without blowing the engine on 15lb. of boost!!!Skip was swearing up and down by it.And here is the eye popper on 87 OCTANE!!!!
Is this mod. worth the 500.00 price tag. It sound's to good to be true.Has anyone ever heard of this??

Montego - wow you're being nice.

Radiant, this anti-det mod is a very hot topic. If you had it installed now you would be at the front of the line of early adopters. There's nothing wrong with having it added later, keep in mind.

I contacted KD about the west coast... lucky for you SF area guys, they are setting up a distributor there.

Here was their reply:

"I'm working on setting up a dist. in the Bay Area to install. We're
finishing up the boiler plate paperwork..Skip"

Dunno if it is. I'll wait until I see someone I know personally put it on, and run 87 octane before I do it

Everyone: Contacted Skip at KDR today and asked if adding chicken broth in the gas would reduce detonation. Here is their reply-

Sir, you are correct that adding chicken broth to the gas will increase the octane rating of the gas by 7 points. I can't get into detail because we are trying to patent the idea but we have tried it on a few customers’ cars with great success. Hope this helps to answer your questions. Thanks.....Skip

Wow, this is great. I don't have any dyno numbers but everyone should trust me that chicken broth is great stuff.

Ahh.... so I am bullshitting about contacting KD? Spend the time to contact them urself, and you'll see they'll tell u the same thing.

Before accusing ppl of BSing be able to back it up. I never said this device works, I just asked them if ppl in the West coast would have an opportunity of getting it. And that was their reply.

911GT2, I knew about this device about 4-5 months ago. Along the way I began to doubt it. lets just say I know somethings now that I did not then.
