Another "Where does this go?" thread.

As I'm slowly piecing together my humpty dumpty FD I have found this small little bracket I do not recognize. I searched the FSM but must have overlooked it.

Any help would be appreciated. You can check my build thread to see my progress

It holds the throttle cable in place. The bottom of the bracket (round hole) mounts to the 3rd stud from the front in the UIM

^ It was unplugged on my car also. I assume it is an unused connector.

Thanks RENESISFD and gracer7-rx7 for your help!

It sort of looks like the 'test' lead for the ECU but I don't remember it being that large. If so, it was typically left unplugged. But was also used to go to ground for the old "fan mod".

Figured I would just bump this thread instead of make a new one. I'm finally getting back to working on my car and have two questions:

Does this ground mount to the firewall or the top of the transmission:

On this hard line that comes up from the turbo, I don't see where it goes in the diagram, is it supposed to be capped since it is "vacuum" not boost.

Thanks.

Top pic, That mounts to the firewall close to where the LIM and UIM meet. There is a ground strap that bolts to the rear of the UIM and then clips to the spade end.

Bottom pic, I dont remember for sure but I think it is supposed to be caped.

One more question:

How do you know which plugs go to which solenoid in this picture with the red and blue tape?
Also, what is the blue plug supposed to go to? Best I can tell from a harness diagram on the board it is something for the AT cars.

Thanks again,
Vince
