Another stupid 16 year old
Yeah, I was driving to school a few days ago and man I came close to being involved in a big accident(not my fault, and lucked out that I wasnt tailgating so I could stop!) Holy crap, it seriously changed my look on how to drive. So, I think that rude awakening gave me enough of a taste to keep my self in control! Can't wait for my FD! 17 in feb

Yeah, let's see some pics. The insurance companies dont give you blue book value, i've seen people trying to take their insurance companies to court to try and get the blue book value or what they think it's worth.Once they give you the money for your car you do have an option of buying the car back from then for about fraction of the value the only thing is that the car will hold a salvage title.

Dave
I will state what was said in the last thread about me :
"Everyone becomes a perfect driver when it doesnt happen to them"
Great job guyz thinking your the only ones who care about these cars. I am sure he realized what he has done and to be followed by ridicule for posting his experience with death. Its amazing how much crap yall give him through the first 3 pages but yet one peron has asked if he was alright. So I will be the second to say Are you alright atleast ... A car can be replaced a person cant. Sure the probability of something happening in a fast car for a teenager increases but the odds are period that any teen can loose control of any car(especially there 1st car .... Like the kid who flipped a ford probe... whats that 40hp but stuff happens). Everyone learns at one point or in other.

When I was 16, the hot car to get was a Gremlin X .
You gotta know your limits, because a car like the FD usually has limits that exceed yours.
That's why it should not be a first car.

By the say, sorry to hear about your accident. Hopefully you're ok. And I don't get why everyone is bitching - every totalled FD makes our cars just that much more rare and special

Honestly if I had a FD at 16 I wouldnt be here typing cause I would have killed myself and the car. I thought I was responsible at 16 but looking back I know I wasnt. I know there are very mature 16 year olds out there but to be honest I dont think anyone 16 should be driving a FD.....no matter how mature they are. You just dont have the driving experience.
Case in point....your a mature 16yr old
Sorry to hear about it man, thats a lot of money down the drain

I'd be more suspicious of the guy that was SO worried about what other people think of the name he chose for his car that he had to name it something masculune - I mean, who really cares? It shows alot of insecurity

Thank you to those who can understand that i loved my car to death and I wish i could rewind things and make them better, but i cant, sometimes the best way to learn is from our mistakes and i have made my share. And by the way im not some spoiled kid, i put every penny of my money into that car and i just screwed up.
I will post some pics when i pick the car up at the towing warehouse.

Did you ever make it to any meet (IE have I met you)? Where was this? How many miles on it? Since you're local and I need a tranny maybe we can work something out. When you get it back, can I come take a look? PM me.
If you only had liability, you won't see a penny. Sorry. Only collision coverage will help you in that respect.

Hey GoodfellaFD3S and Plan9... calm down about the gay thing. He was just making a joke. You guys must be the homophobes since you're so afraid of offending homosexuals.
Anyway, it sucks about your car. At least you're alright.

not having collision on an FD is just retarded. Like you said, you learn from your mistakes, and good luck with getting some of your money back. meanwhile, im guessing that early 90s honda civic that so many teenagers have their eyes on is gonna have to do till you save up enough for another FD. Have fun.
