Another RE V-Mount on the road

First of all I just want to give Chuck at Rotary Extreme props, he did such a good job on my car, he is an outstanding person to deal with. While he was in the process of installation he kept me updated with everything and even e-mailing me pics. He sure got my business from now on, I will be dealing with him with everything that I need for my baby. I am now a Rotary Extreme junky..LOL.

ThankS Chuck.........

I am so impressed with the kit water temps stayed at 73c at which I never saw with my old set-up even if I had a KOYO already in there, Air Temps Stayed at 29c which I never saw with my Greddy SMIC. I am so pleased with this kit and it was worth every dollar that I spent.

Now for the pics

Old set up

New set up

KaiFD3S: With the mini-battery kit, is it going to be an issue with the stereo system you have in your car?

nah I dont think so, I dont bump that much anyway..I like listening to the motor more...If I listen while car is not running then maybe I might have some problems, but I rarely do that. While I'm driving, as far as I know it runs off the alternator, I think.

Kai:

Your super low water temp has something to do with removal of the A/C condenser. If the A/C condenser is still on the car, the water temp should stay around 83-85 C. The black car I just finished before yours has almost the exact same setup as yours but with A/C condenser and it has water temp in the 83-85C range. Maybe we should open up the passenger side shield to let some fresh air going to the air filters. 73C is kind of too low for water temp. Or you can just race your car like crazy to bring the water temp up.

Is 73c too cold to be running the car hard? I think I'll have to drive up to your shop in SF Chuck and have you install a vmount for me.

Take some more engine bay pics. I'd also like to see one from the mouth of the front end.
Please.

Specifically I'd like to see how the shielding is held in (sealed on the body and components), sealing towards the aft of the setup (where rad meets IC), and how it meets up with the front end.

TIA,

I would but that would mean having to remove everything, too lazy right now.

Nice IC kit. But 73C off the pfc with 82C t-stat, in the summer, is more than a condenser issue ... bad sensor/wiring or bad t-stat. Closed stat means no coolant flows thru rad.

I got 73c of the PFC with ambient temps at about 70 F, my sensors are fine along with my t-stat..this is also freeway driving, I'm not a pro with all this temp stuff, I am just stating what I saw, when I drive in city streets and stopped at a light my temps do rise to about 86-89c but as soon as I start moving it drops down to about 80c fairly quickly. I have not driven it at ambient temps of over 90 F, My water temps should rise at that time though.

No need to remove anything, just take more pics of it in the engine bay and through the mouth of the car to the sides and back.
