"another?"

Has this been a problem?

I've had a Koyo in for a few years with no problems.

Is it a real Koyo or a fake from e-bay?

So your saying straight out of the box and its leaking already?

I'm pretty sure they pressure test them before they get shipped out.

so this is not "another" leaking Koyo, but just yours? I have had a Koyo on my FD for more than 4 years, no issues, I also have a Koyo on my Supra, no issues....

I thought the Fluidynes were the ones having a leak problem lately...

I certainly hope so anyway, because I just had a new Koyo put into my car...

I thought I saw a few threads about it last year, though it could have just been the same thread that kept getting bumped...

I think sometimes people might discard the rubber mounts that are critical to radiator installation.

i remember seeing some people a while ago had leaky koyo radiators, i had a koyo radiator on my old WRX with no problem but on the STi, it was leaking. Now another leak on the FD

The leak is not due to improper installation..it's actually leaking from the core facing the motor. Had it on for about 7 months, just started leaking a few weeks ago. Oh well, should have bought a Fluidyne....

I have a Koyo on my FC that is leaking also, but I've had it for about 4 years. Just started in Dec. I still have the rubber mounts on mine. The core itself is leaking towards the top.

If I can't find a different brand radiator for fairly cheap. Then I'll just get another Koyo. I don't have a problem with them, I'll just have to see why my current one is failing.

There are places that fix radiators, they don't charge that much.

I bought a brand new Koyo two weeks ago that leaked right out of the box.

There was a pinhole-ish leak in the weld between the drain plug and the middle fan prong. The leak was VERY slow (virtually unnoticeable) at ambient coolant temps, but as the coolant/radiator warmed up, the leak started dripping much faster and eventually turned into a squirt/mist at normal operating temperatures (83*C).

Also, my drain plug threads were tapped at a slight angle and didn't allow for a good seal between the drain plug and the flat recessed face in the drain bung, so that leaked too. I had my welder/fabricator just seal off the entire area completely and now I'm plug-less.
