Another "How much is this 7 worth?" thread

Ok its a red 93 R1 with 20k miles, exhaust, rest is stock.
It crashed and needs 1 fender, hood, bumper, radiator support and radiator. Frame is straight.

How much would you guys spend on this? Thanks...

The coolant system was damaged during the accident, if the engine was run with the radiator cracked then it will need a new engine to.

Your not being clear hear, so you won't get a strait answer until you are. Does it need a 1 fender, hood, bumper, radiator support and radiator or not?

A car that is wrecked and needs to be rebuilt has a differnet price then a car that was wrencked and rebuilt.

It has a clear title.

The owner has 2 FDs, he took his other radiator and put it on the crashed FD to see if the motor ran alright, and it did. I would still need to buy a radiator if I were to buy the car.

Whats it worth

If the motor was overheated after the accident happend then the possibilty of the motor going bad any time soon will be unknown. In other words there is no way to tell if, or when, that motor will fail as a result of what happend. Its a gamble. Sounds like someone is trying to get rid of the car so they wont have to deal with potential issues later. I would take a pass.

This would also work for now but i have also seen motors that came close to overheating, and overheated motors not have any issues right after it happend and later on had problems due to what happend.

I'd offer him 6G. After all, it's a wrecked car. Who sells a wrecked car for big money?

Buy it for 6G, invest 3G to fix it, turn around and sell it it for 20,000.

Money talks......

Why is he selling it, or at least what reason does he give?

How about this?

My friend's neighbor has a red '93 R1. Paint and interior are both in good shape. It has Efini Y-pipe, cheap boost gauge, cheap exhaust. Turbo seals are shot and the coolant seals are supposedly dead too. Has been sitting on stands for at least 2 years, chassis has 60,000mi.

How much do you think that's worth? He wants to sell it for 10, but I'm thinking it could be more like 8.

I personally would pay the 8.5k for this. If it was near me I would own this car. Most of the parts that need to be replaced I changed on my car anyway. I think its a no lose situation...even if worst case scenario happens and the engine does go you would still be comming out on top. Like others have said you could fix this car and make a large profit on it (what I would do since I already have my car) or fix it and keep it.

So I guess 5500 for mine was a good deal for my 93 then? Not an r1 but a touring , It has 95k on it , body is perfect and motor seems great . It was replaced at 60k by previous owner but Id still like to do a compression test .
