Another fuel pressure reg question

When testing the fuel system for leaks...by using the jumper wire in the diagnostics box...should the fuel pressure reg show pressure on the gauge?

The FPR should show pressure whenever the fuel pump is ON, engine running or not.

got cha, hmmmm. I wander why it wasn't....maybe the lines just take a little while to pressureize. I didn't let it sit on for that long.

It shouldn't. You should have full fuel pressure within a second or two.

IF you are not getting fuel pressue then you have the fuel lines hooked up wrong going to the FPR.

The line that goes to the secondary fuel rail is hooked up on the right side of the reg...and the line coming out of the bottom is going to the hard line on the rear of the engine. I believe it's the return line.
