Another Clutch/master/slave question.
So I was out the other day when out of no where I heard a bang and the clutch petal went to the floor, along with my heart lol thank god it slipped into neutral some how at the same time. So After I get it towed home I got a chance to get underneath the car to see what was up, It didn't take me long to figure out what the situation was.
The three bolts holding the triangular shaped plate that bolts onto the transmission that the slave bolts onto backed out on me and the slave came out of the trans which then banged against my trans tunnel which made the bang. Anyways I managed to get the slave bolted back up to the transmission witch in return made the pedal go back to its normal position.
My issue is that I can't seem to bleed it, I toped up the res and tried to bleed it like you would brakes but nothing. Now with that being said there seems to be fluid leaking out of the bottom of the bell housing after i bolted the slave back to it, which leads me to think that the slave crapped out when it bounced off my trans tunnel. the thing that pisses me off is I just had the Transmission re and re'ed buy a shop. My main question Is can I replace the slave cylinder while the transmission is in the car or do I have to remove the transmission all together to gain access to the bell housing?

slave piston possibly popped out of the cylinder. sometimes salvagable.
check under the boot to see whats going on
sorry i didnt answer either of your questions.
how did you manage to get it bolted back on? could you determine whether you have room to replace it based on that?

You can replace it on the car, had a similar issue before the winter. It's a pain in the *** without a lift but doable.
Considering how cheap the part is why not just replace it and save yourself the hassle of possibly having to do it all over again.

Thanks rx-PRIDE, the piston came out of the actual slave cylinder. I picked up a new new one and bled the clutch my self an it works great now. I've never worked on imports before so it's a little bit nerve racking, especially when your used to working on a 68 chevy mud truck where there is no feness required. Thanks for the responses guys it was a big help.
