another cf hood question
I have got the hood mounted more or less in the center... though the gap is far more then I expected. I will move the fenders & hood a bit, but I don't expect it will ever fit to my liking...
but, what I find the most troublesome is the fact that the hood doesn't lock w/o applying quite a bit of pressure to the hood... sorta bending it? I read through atihuns page and apparently it is not all that uncommon for hoods to be a bit warped and just driving them will make the hood conform to the car as the engine is hot etc. it isn't hitting/caught on anything under the hood, so it isn't a clearance issue.
does this plan make sence, or am I dreaming thinking that the hood will fit as it should? or are there any tricks that I am missing?

you might consider hood pins as an option to help keep the hood fastened, but I'm not sure if you are looking to secure it any further. Hood pins will not help with fitment issues.

My FG hood came with a slight rising on the drivers side. It was maybe a 1/4" but began in the middle(looking at front of car) and rose toward drivers side. Could only see it from the front or from the drivers tire. I put hood pins on(for safety reasons) and I adjusted the drivers side one to hold the hood down. I just need to apply pressure to the hood in that spot to fasten hood pin. Driving around did nothing for my hood. I am not sure where it is actually tweaked. Oh well, looks good now.

well, that was odd...
anyway... so I can feel free to force my hood closed and just live with the fact that it does not fit as it should? works for me....
also, are there any good instruction pages dealing with installing hood pins?
thanks
