Another air pump removal question

ok so here goes, i removed the air pump, installed the pullies & belt, as for the hoses comming off the air pump, 1 to air filter housing, plugged the air filter housing, as for the other one from the back of the pump, do you just plug this one? i have full exhaust so the hose under the car is just there & plugged. this is a jdm fd so it has no egr if that makes a difference. just havn't found a good explination of this, removed pump to clean up engine bay, not worried about emissions here in bc, i think the more smog the better they like it lol.

The right way to do it would be to remove the ACV and use block-off plates for the ACV and where the pipes were located.

However, you can just plug them up if you aren't going to remove them.

i would also like this clarified a bit better. I've seen where they've looped lines together. But never a clear explination of what to do

When someone says remove ACV and use block off plate is that all that is necessary?

What about the vacuum solenoids that are used for ACV? Are they just discarded?

I am doing a air pump removal as well and want to remove the ACV too. I have also read that its recommended to have a Power FC (or facsimile thereof) in order to have a good idle when the ACV is removed. Is this true?

It's not necessary. You can simply leave the ACV in place and just plug the lines.

If you remove the ACV, you can remove associated solenoids. You would need to use a resistor in place of the solenoids so the stock ECU (or rechipped ECU) doesn't throw codes. However, technically those codes do not throw the car into limp mode so you could just not bother with the resistors.

You can raise the idle to around 1000 rpms to smooth things out.
