Amount of room in cat section

Im looking at putting two Magnaflow cans in the mid-pipe. For those that have done this what size cans can i use?

The ones im looking at come in both 6" and 14"(actual can length not inc end caps). Im assuming two 14" cans would be to long but will two 6" cans fit?

Also, these come in both round and oval, will both styles work or only one?

So you know i have searched and the only peron i can seem to find is "Red-RX7" that has magnaflow race mufflers in his midpipe. He only has one 6" though, so I still need to know if two of them will fit.....

I will also consider one 14" race muffler but im not sure if even that is too long.

I have one 5x8" oval, 14" long, 3" offset/center Magnaflow muffler in my midpipe. I also have a metallic cat in there. A 14" center/center will fit, too, but I think the offset/center is quieter (just a guess, but mine is pretty quiet, relatively speaking).

thanx Max....
How long would you say the cat you have is, from what i have seen around i can guess about 8"??

From what your saying, it sounds like i can fit the 14" muffler in there, plus another 6" mini can too.....

Im not running a cat so this is why I want the dual cans in the mid pipe. Plus i will be running a larger DI pipe so i need to quiet it down a lot.

I doubt a second muffler would fit. The body of the cat is 4"OD and 6" long (i.e. really small). I would try just a 14" muffler first.

What cat are you running Max? Do you know if they make a 3.5" or 4" DIA inlet/outlet?
If i cant fit anything else in there then maybe the cat will have to work, seeing how its small enough.

Magnaflow is the only company that seem to make larger the 3" mufflers, that why i am going with them. Plus they have reputal build quality.....
