So for around $2k you can have a low to mid 12 sec. car with full bpu on 14 lbs.

That is more than but pretty close to the amount I would need to have 390-410 rwhp and do around 116-118 in the 1/4.

For me, that would be around $1100-1300 for an installed cam and $250 for the mod's I have now.

Thanks for the info guys!

What kind of car are you refering to? I dont know to many cars that dont at least need exhaust and some form of intake mod to run 12's. Thats all a fd needs besides a upgraded ecu that can be had for about $500. The intakes for FD's seem to be expensive, I dont see why people dont just buy 2 K&N and make thier own intake for about $80, its easy but instead people pay anywhere from $200-$500 for it. If i had it all to do over I would have bought a used exhaust. All the FD exhaust systems are nice heavy duty stainless and should out last the car, why not buy it used? Anyway, I could have a FD in the low 12's for $1000. Actually with those same mods you could run 11's at the track with 14psi of boost but without a IC upgrade I would only do it for 1/4 mile, I wouldnt daily drive 14psi on the stock IC.

Hope this gives you some more info....keep in mind this is all asuming a healthy motor and turbos.

I was first referring to a 7 and $2k in mod's. Then I was talking about my car.

F1 cam $419
valve springs + retainers $300
install $400
intake lid $120
exhaust cutout $75
K&N filter $40

Comes out to around $1300 to get an LS1 into the high 11's/low 12's.

Of course I could put in the cam myself and save $400.

So it all comes out about the same with you guys' mod's maybe a little more costly.

OH, stock LS1's have done high 12's. Low 13's are the norm though.

Intake & Exhaust ones, i'm sure are in the 12's with the righ 60'. Mph on 01/02 LS1's have ranged anywhere from 105-109.
