Amemiya Muffler

If I swap in a Amemiya Muffler on the stock 1993 RX-7 exhaust system, would everything run ok? Or would I have to upgrade and get a Power FC and commander? Is it just the midpipe thats the trouble?

Also, would a Bonez (from RX7.com) front pipe & midpipe work with the Amemiya muffler for a complete exhaust system?

As long as you keep your cat you will be fine...

You can run a downpipe, cat and exhaust no problem...

I believe the golden rule for fuel cut is 3 breathing mods. You can do 3 breathing mods total (ie, intakes downpipe exhaust, but no midpipe) before you have to get PFC.

^ its a good rule to follow, but its been proven that if you can keep your car under or at 10 psi, the stock computer is rich enough to compensate for any and all flow mods.

If you're just buying the muffler, you will still need the 'cat-back' (midpipe-back) section of pipe.

Sweet, thanks. What about pulleys/belts? I was thinking about getting some from Unorthodox Racing. Would they affect the car in anyway (besides power of course), or would I be good to go?

Pullies underdrive accessories. If you underdrive the accessories, they perform less. i.e. if you have a large stereo system or like your A/C, I would suggest not getting pullies. They do have their uses, but you need to understand the tradeoffs to know if they are for you or not.

In what ways would the pullies affect the A/C? I could care less about the stereo since I really never use it, but the A/C I would like to work well. Would they just make it harder for the A/C to blow air? Or does it make it run different?

Don't turn into "that" guy

Kyshro,

Search is your friend! Don't turn into "that" guy that just asks questions without doing some of your own research.

People will help you all day long as long as you put in some of your own effort.

I really dont see why I cant ask a question. It seems like anytime someone does, someone gets scolded for not searching and I dont know why the forums have to be like this. Arent we all RX-7 owners trying to improve our cars? Can we not help eachother out? Does it bother you that much that I ask a question and someone with better knowledge and experience can help me out and answer it real quick? Who's to say I didnt search? It might be easy for you searching on here but many times its hard to find the EXACT answer that is trying to be found. Would it make you feel better if I spend lots of time trying to find the exact answer I am searching for, that sometimes cannot even be found? Take a deep breath, if you dont like the question, ignore it. Why spend the time even typing that? Lighten up my friend.

What pullies are you planning on replacing?? If you don't change the main pulley or the P/S pulley you will have nothing to worry about with the A/C. A good way to go is to just replace water pump and alternator.

If you do replace a pulley that shares the belt with the A/C, you run the risk of running a less efficient air conditioning system that may or may not push freon (or w/e you're running) to generate air as cold as it used to be.

The problem with your noob logic is the fact that you fail to comprehend that this question has been asked and answered at least ten times. Yes people are here to help but theyre not here to spoon feed you the answer to every little question. At some point you need to show the other members a little bit of respect and at least put in a college effort at finding the answer on your own first.
