how to mount them on US spec fenders
Interested to know how you will mount those on US fenders without those preexisting cutouts... I bought a set but not sure if I'm comfortable about cutting up the fenders.

No, the side markers, are Signals. I own a 1993 JDM FD, and they are definitely signals.
Like said above, just get a set of the JDM fenders,and they will have the cut-outs already there,and just wire them to your pre-existing Signal Circuit.
I believe just like in Europe, Its a Law for all cars overseas (in most places) to have the side signals.
