AM oil pressure sender in respeed pedestal???

So how do you fit the large oil pressure sender from an Autometer gauge into the ReSpeed pedestal? Figured the pedestal has 2 taps so why not use one for a backup OP gauge?

However, the sender is the shape of a D battery, but bigger. No room to directly screw it in, HDR only had a 90deg male to female adapter which didn't help. A small m2f extension might work, but HDR didn't have any. There's an LR nearby i could try.

Has anyone done this, if so how did you hook up the adapter?

looked through the 25 threads with "respeed" in em, but no dice.

Ditch the autometer and use a gauge with a sender smaller than a Yugo?

I installed a Spa sender (which is also large, 1/8 NPT if I remember correctly. Pulled the stock sender unit and then tapped the brass adapter the old unit was attached to. I understand metric and English sizes but why do they make some automotive parts to a plumbing fitting standard?

I have that set up on mine, I don't have a picture handy right now. I will try to post one tomorrow night if I get a chance. I have mine plumbed with a temp and pressure sensor.

I ended up drilling my own hole and threading it to fit. I have both an Autometer Oil Pressure and Temp sender installed on it. I used the one of the two already on the pedestal for the OT, and the newly created one for the OP and put a blocked off the other that came with it. It's worked great, I haven't had any leaks, and reads great.

I'll take pictures of it tonight.

I used a small degree bend fitting. These are the best shots I could get. I hope they help.
