Am I doing something wrong? (suspension arm pivots)

The aluminum suspension arms have little steel inserts in them that the bolts pass through.
Whenever I remove and reinstall something like the front sway bar arm, I have to push the insert back out (using a bolt, nut, and washers) so the part will fit.
Torquing the bolts back to the torque spec moves the inserts back together, pinching whatever part you are installing. So, the next time, you have to repeat the process.
The FSM doesn't mention anything about this. I can't seem to find reference to it online.

Does everyone know something I don't?

Maybe we're both doing it wrong, but I made a "tool" ( appropriately sized nuts and bolts) to use for that purpose.
If there is a better way, I would not mind knowing.

Yeah, I did the same thing. I just find it amusing that the FSM just says "install the stabilizer link" without mentioning you need to fashion a tool to do it.
Would have been nice if the links were chambered on the edges so you could just knock them in.

I haven’t had to deal with it all that often but I’ve used a long brass punch and small ball-peen hammer to tap them out. It’s a little annoying but not difficult.
