i've been searching for some polished intake pipes for an m2/sr/re cold air intake. I have looked at old threads and it seems as though alot of the hard pipes don't fit perfectly . whether it's ebay for 40 dollars or rx7store's pipes, they seem to all have this problem. I was wondering if someone knew of a hard pipe kit that didn't require modification. I was looking at these pipes on ebay since all of them have a fitting problem. i would change the couplers. i just want some opinions. here is the link. thanks

I got Ebay hardpipes, and they work reasonably well with a CWR intake... however, I aquired an M2 intake, an the lower pipe isn't even close. The trouble is in finding tight enough radius pipes to make that shape... I suspect none other than the original M2 pipes would fit.

 

M2 fits the best if the air pump tube is cut off the M2 intake box. The fit was better since their lower pipe is cast, however it is no longer produced.

you could have searched the forum a little bit... i know ive started thread about this before, and posted in related threads.

anyway, the cheap ebay pipes work fine and look pretty good, you just have to cut them about 3/4" shorter to fit:

I just used a 90 degree hose from Hose Techniques instead. That way I didn't have to deal with 2 couplers.

 

i actually did search. i really wanted to know if there were pipes that actually fit without any modification. hey mahjik, do you by any chance have a part number of that hose?

That's for a red hose. You will have to do a little cutting.
