alternators keep going

hey guys, just recently i moved my battery to the back of my trunk, i have it in a enclosed custom insulated box, but for some reason no matter what i do, my alternators keep blowing for some reason, i already checked the battery ground in the back, im on my third alternator , ive tried to put the battery back in front and still no charge , i tried a new battery still does not charge.

but the most recent alternator i got, it started charging fine then i was watching with my volt meter, it raised up to 15 and after that it went down hill , back to under 12v. it just drops to 8v , aNd the car dies

idk what to do . thanks for the help who ever chimes in , i appreciate it

where are you getting these alternators?

try getting an OEM one, even if it is used. many remans are pure garbage. only other thing to check is the charge wire from the alternator to the battery(or at least the original juntion it is at) and be sure it is tight and clean. also be sure the junctions from the original battery position to your battery and nice and solid, if it is shooting up to 15v then the alternator is trying to compensate for a bad connection to the battery.

autozone doesn't list a new alternator, just a reman pos. 1 out of 10 of those things actually live longer than a year.

i'd get your money back and buy a used one off the forum.
