Alternator Pictures?

Hey guys ive had a previous electrical problem, and with the help of a friend ive concluded that its probably my battery terminals. As well as cleaning my battery terminals, im going to try and clean my alternator aswell. Ive been giving some really good instructions on how to do this, but im just wondering if anyone has any good alternator pictures that show the large plug that goes into the alternator and the alternator power wire (should be a hoop wire connector under a 12mm nut).

What is a hoop wire?

Any pictures would be great. Im just being careful as im not familar with the alternator.

Just pull the grey protector off and remove the 12mm bolt. The wire will lift right off and you can clean it. Make sure you disconnect your battery first.
