Almost Done w/ My Car. Got Few Questions
Almost Done w/ My Car. Got Few Questions
All I gotta do is install the intake, hook up the IC lines and the ECU connections.
I got the harness back into the passenger side of the car. What a pain in the ***! I matched up all the connections except for one. It's a small black connector. It was in the car. I didn't come out w/ the harness. I can't find where it connects too.
Other question is this: I think the previous owner put the Pettit TKT intake in it. There is a small filter connected to this metal pipe that has like 3 other ends. One end is plugged. I forget where the other 2 connect to. There is also a dump tube that I am not sure about too. Anyone have pics of these in there engine. That may help.
I'm almost done. It should be running by tonight.
TIA for the help guys!

If you are refering to the lines from the Charge relief valve and the Blow off valve you can just leave them open if you want. They only blow out and do not take air in. The dump tube is also unecessary.
Can you get pics of the connector?

Can I also leave the CRV line open if I got non-seq setup?
There is another pipe to the right of the CRV. I thought that the CRV connects to that. Doesn't look like it though. The hose would be in the way of the intake hose.
I'll try to get pics. The site I host em on is down...
The connector is a small black one. It looks like the ones that connect to the alternator and oil pressure switch.

Then the pump will spin but it won't be getting air in the exhaust. You can cap the ends and unplug the airpump until you can get the new pullies and belt. About $120 from Pettit. Otherwise just put the lines back onthe airpump.

What about the pipe on top of the air pump?
I thought I would toss out this idea since I recently found this connector dangling when I was putting my manifolds back together. The connection to the knock sensor located just forward of the oil filter has a wire harness connector on it that looks just like the oil pressure one.. maybe that is it. Where is the connector located? Any pics of it?

On a related topic, the easiest way to get the airpump back in is by first connecting it to the air-tube on the LIM and then putting it on its hinge.

The one that is in the passenger kick panel is TOOOO far away for that. Besides, they are both femal connections.
I have a pic of the Pettit Intake. The chromed plumbing goes to CRV, ABV, Air Pump, and little filter.
I still have the installation instructions if you need them.
Good Luck.

Thanks for the correction on the AWS Jonski. I don't pay enough attention to those, like I said mine are just capped. I would however replace the pullies if you are eliminating the airpump.Yea yu could just get the belt but why. You have about 300 miles or so before you need to get the cat off if you take out the airpump or you will start to notivce the car getting sluggish as the carbon builds up.
Hey Jonski still got that king kong wing on your car??

Are you talking about the small black connector that sits behind the ECU. It so that connects to nothing. Was plut in there during a recall. Fan recall IIRC.

I did it a wrong. I got the AWS hooked up to the metal pipe thing. If that just dumps, I can probably just leave it open w/ no pipe. I can slo leave the crv open too. Then I only need to connect the air pump to the metal pipe thing. I can just put a filter there then instead of using the stupid pipe thing.
It's come up before, but I'm not convinced the CRV only blows.
When driving (not under boost) the manifold is under vacuum, and the CRV is open. Isn't it sucking?
