All-wheel drive RX-7?

Has anybody ever attempted to build such a beast? With a mid-engine mounted 3-rotor?

Rod Millen had one but I think it was a FC... And not sure if it was powered by a 13B or 20B.. Also RE Amemiya has/had a AWD FC but it's rumored to be the same Rod Millen FC I believe.

(This is only what I remember from old threads, pretty sure this is correct but I could be wrong you never know)

If I'm thinking of the same car you are, it was a 1st gen. It used I believe parts from an old Mazda 626. Used for rally racing.

There was an FC-bodied rally car at SevenStock that had a 4-cylinder and AWD.

yeah its possible ive looke it up as far as what to do.to fit the front wheel drive portion of the steering, you would need to build a new subframe to fit front differential and front drive shaft.u would then need to cut into the seating area so that the driveshaft is equal height with the rear driveshaft.you would then have to build a transfer case and chain.then would have to build a custom front steering system and suspension setup.its best to rip one out of a car that had awd to get u a somewhat of a start.and if u want to get really highspeed,u can make that transfer case electronically controlled clutch like the r32 and r34 skyline.where u can pull a fuse and disable the any of the differentials without having to remove the driveshafts.

There were both a 1st gen. and a 2nd gen. AWD rally cars. I believe both were driven by Rod Millen.

Re Amemiya has something called the AZ1 I think, it's a midengined 20B car, but I don't know if it's awd or not. Even without it though, it's bad as hell.

Is that that exotic looking red car he has parked inside his shop? I think I know which one you're talking about and couldn't figure out at the time what the hell it was.
