All of the sudden I have no power. I need your help

I drove my car all day and it worked great. I came home from work, changed, and got ready to go to a friend's house. I got into the car, turned the key to start and I heard a click. The click sounded like the starter solenoid but it is hard to tell becuase I was not really listening for it.

After the click, I lost all power and nothing works. No lights, no accessories, nothing. I popped the hood but it was hard to see at night. I checked the tightness of the positive and negative leads on the battery and they are all good. I checked the 120 fuse, main, and it is fine. I also checked the main relays and they looked fine. I pulled out all of the relays and blew the dust out like they we old Nintendos. Still nothing.

Is there a fusible link or something? Has this happened to any of you all or a friend? I need your help. I just bought an Apexi Power FC and it should be in by the end of the week. I want to install it when it comes in. So, any help would be awesome. PLease help a brother out.

Borrow or buy a $20 multimeter to test your battery voltage. It may be just a bad battery.

Yep, bad connection at the battery, or a weak battery, most likely. Tap on your terminals moderately, or use pliers to twist them, and see if power returns. IF so, take them off and clean both the battery posts and terminals. IF not, it might be the battery itself.

Thanks for your suggesions guys but all of the above have been checked. You are right, I do need a fluke meeter. I will probably go and pick one up today. The battery is a brand new red top Optima battery. I know it is fine. I was just hoping that this has happeded to a lot of people before on this car. Well, I wish any misfortune on anyone, but I was hoping that whoever this has happened to could share a little info.

Any more ideas would be awesome. Take care fellas,
