I had the 10x airbag blinking problem, and kept coming back to this thread, so I thought I'd add the answers I had to dig up elsewhere here to be helpful to future fools suffering the same problem.

- Here's the link for the electrical troubleshooting manual. It covers all the different blinking combinations etc. Download it as pdf and keep on hand
- My 10x blinking problem turned out to be a dirty connection of the "R" D-sensor (driver's side, right by the pop-up headlight), where it's cable was dirtied by a gap in the mudguard on the driver's side front wheel well.

 

I have the 5 flash issue for front outer sensor. Mazda seems to have discontinued them, any ideas for aftermarket or perhaps repair service?

 

hey @Redrocketjoe are you sure your front outer sensor is broken? Seeing as they're rare to replace, I suggest pulling it and cleaning it + every connection along the harness that feeds it back, in case it's a dirty connection like I had.
