Airbag disable, resistor required?
Airbag disable, resistor required?
I recently swapped the OEM steering wheel and disabled the airbag by shorting the airbag connector with a 3/16" female quick connect. This solves the issue with the airbag check when turning on the car. However, some searching shows airbag delete plugs using a resistor. Will the lack of a resistor be ok or does that need to be present to prevent damage in case I decide to enable airbag again? Thanks!
Not sure. To be on the safe side, I would remove the airbag computer - it's under the driver's side of the dash. You will also have to remove the airbag light or it will stay on.

is the passenger side airbag controlled by the driver side computer too ? will it cause any problem if I remove the driver side cpu and put a resistor to prevent the airbag light
