air splitter
is anyone interested in air splitters for 3rd gen rx7's? I am developed these and need feed back on how they look and how much they would cost. They are four layers of carbon/kevlar. They are extremely light and strong. Any questions email me at jonvigil81@hotmail.com

They are called canards and I'm gonna be making CF ones for my car soon
I can't believe the ones for the RE-Amemiya front bumpers cost like 500-800 bucks but oh well, you gotta pay to play
Good luck
P.S. How much CF/kevlar mix cost for you?
Also, what are you using to cast it, Epoxy or just resin?

I have never heard anyone call those canards.
In aerodynamic theroy books they are called "dive planes" and are used to fine tune front bite after a spring and shock selection is made.

Next to sticker mods, these are the next least useful. IMHO.

Oh ok. I guess since you are trying to peddle your wannabe CF mod, you think they are critical. What is the proposed change in downforce they make? How fast does one have to go to realize any change? (before they blow off that is) Are you suggesting peeps drill into their front bumpers?
BTW, I think you meant to post on this site.

I guess the dozens of aerodynamic theroy and racecar engineering webpages I just brought up in a Google search must be wrong.
Call them what you wish, but if you ever want them designed by someone that knows what they are doing, if you ask for a canard you may get a movable wing centrally mounted in the front of the car. Should you ask for dive planes, the designer will know you want trap, or redirection, panels on the perimeter to fine tune front grip.
