Okay, the stock fitting is WAY different than the Pettit high flow fitting.....so what the **** are you supposed to do? Fabricate your own adapter or what?

I figured it would just bolt up.. No? Maybe you do have to fabricate.. That sucks.

The stock cat has a long tube welded to it, that has a flat flanged fitting on the end that connects to the hose from the air pump with two bolts.
The Pettit has a small, straight pipe that comes out the side of the cat about 1" or so.

I realize it is not that big of a deal to fab something, but I was really hoping it would be more of a bolt on deal.....

I have yet to see an aftermarket cat that bolts up to the stock fitting; you have to fab it yourself. Cut the tube off the stock cat and have someone weld it onto the aftermarket one. Then you can keep your bolted flange to allow disassembly.
