Air/Fuel Gauge install?

I'm installing an Autometer Air/Fuel gauge and I'm just wondering where a good place to splice into the O2 wire would be. I've been searching through the shop manual (and the forum) and I can't seem to locate the O2 sensor wire inside the car. I can see it in the engine bay, but I'd like to avoid running it in there if I can. Where did all you guys that have this gauge splice into? Thanks!

Best place is right at the ecu. Just splice into the wire before the connector. Then you can just run the wire beind the center console and out to the driver side (if that's where you're putting it).

That'll tell you which number wire in which connector.

Oh, and if you already know which connector, the wire is black.

I know it's easier to splice into the ecu harness but if you mess that up, you're screwed.

I realize that the wire probably won't have much slack in it, but I'd really rather not go into the engine bay. I've done plenty of electrical work in cars before so I'm not too terribly worried about it. However, it is something to keep in mind.
