Arrow Air Filter Questions.....

I was just wandering, all those guys with Single turbo, they don't even put the filter on. They just put some kind of metal mesh or something similar and that's it.

Why do we have to have filters then? Why can't we put the same thing on the primary turbo inlet and the 2nd turbo inlet piping? More air will get in there and there will be something for obstruction of bigger things and trash.

how's the rock going to get in there? Also that's why there is that mesh. It has holes like 1mm or less.

The reason i'm asking this is because apexi filters are gettin in the way for me now and I'm looking for a way out without spending $ on a different intake setup.

my guess is a large SMIC... the positioning of the secondary intake filter doesn't really make it compatible with anything larger than the GReddy SMIC. it juts way out about a third of the way across the engine bay
