air conditioner won't turn off
First of all, I would like to thank the creator and all the people who participate on this site. It is awesome. There aren't many of us 7 guys and we need to stick together. Anyways, for some reason, my AC won't turn off. No matter how many times I hit the switch, the little red light won't turn off, and the air stays cold. It was ok for the summer, but now I may need to use the heat for the winter. Does anyone have any suggestions on fixing this problem? If I do need to replace the switch, does anyone know how to pull out the console to change the switch or rewire to an aftermarket switch? All advice is welcome, thanks.

That's an odd problem and I never heard of that happening.
I suppose the best place to start would be the little switch.
To remove the center console, you need to:
1) Remove shift ****
2) Remove Center console
3) Remove plastic around steering column (this is so you dont scratch gauge cluster
4) Remove screws to gauge cluster in order to raise it up about 2 inches. (there is a screw behind it on the right side that hold the ac control panel
5) Remove AC control panel (paying close attention to wiring harness, of course )
Simply disconnect the switch, and take a peak to see if the compressor stays on. If it does, then you know the problem lies else where. That will be chapter 2

MAZDA?
This is now the only reason you would want to take
your car to Mazda, is stupid little **** like this. If you
need to ask how to do it, then dont..... You may
break more then you fix.. Just turn off the actual
air switch off-high set it to off. Then go to Mazda
when you got some cash.. BUT it maybe a quick
fix. I had a few problems with my 96' 7 like lights
and ****. They fixed it in the time of my lunch break
washed my car, and charged me pennies
