I've searched and couldn't find a concrete answers. I'm looking at buy a set of RZ Recaro's and fit them into something that isn't a FD.

I know some folks here have acquired Recaro's without the rails, so just wondering if those folks or anyone else has figured out which rails bolt up.

I wonder the same thing. I have tried to use original recaro rails of the FD3S (not the tilting ones though), but driver's seat is very very high (unbelievably high). The rails were both side and bottom mount, however RZ seats are bottom mount. May be that's the reason.

I'm currently using stock fd rails on my rz recaro seat.
I measured and made brackets on each corner.
No tilt function, but i like it as it is.

 

Is there a difference between the height of the driver and passenger side seat?

 

If you get them with the tilt and slide rails. I'm sure you could leave them on and fab up some type of mounting system to mount the RZ rails in the car. Would keep the tilt then.

 

I only have driver side.
I'm sure they are the same height.
