Aftermarket radiator installation

I want to replace my stock radiator with an aftermarket one. Is there an aftermarket radiator that's a direct bolt-on without any modifications required?

I have a '94 R2, with just a DP and a RB Dual.

Thanks for the info.

I just installed a Fluidyne. I had no problems but I think I had to drill one hole. The Koyo gets good marks on here too.
There have been some radiator threads on here, you might want to search.

I have a Fluidyne as well. Drove through Eastern WA yesterday, 90F, WITH A/C on full blast AT 90+ mph for two hours straight.

Temp never over 185F. This is partly due to me having sealed up all the remaining hole around the radiator to force air through, but still, it's a great radiator

My Fluidyne needed a little cutting on the fan mount brace to clear the underside of the upper hose mount. I also had issues with the mounting bolt attachment points, as they were slightly crooked, but a little heating duct tape helped that just fine. Other that that, and trimming the lower tabs to clear the oil lines, it was pretty easy...

BTW: If you get a Fluidyne, I would take off the 'draincock' and install a pipe plug. It just hangs down to far for me to feel comfortable. It is covered by the belly pan but still might get crushed and leak if you run over something.

The radiator should come out through the hood. It may be possible to take it out of the bottom of the car but at the very least you would have to break the a/c coolant lines.

Actually, the "factory correct" method is out the bottom. You simply move the A/C condensor out of the way.

I did mine from the top. The only real hassle was getting the radiator with fans mounted past the electrical wiring where the front fuse box sits. After a few trial fits, a 'lil of the old in and out eh wat, it went in fairly easy

I installed a fluidyne back in May. NO cutting , no problems. It was a piece of cake even though I'm a clutz mechanic!
