there's a big difference between your choices.
one's setup for a certain set of mods and the other is fully customizeable

my suggestion: power FC

Agreed. The PFC is a highly recommended choice for a ECU.

Unless you get a good deal and you only plan on maybe one or two power mods over stock then I would not get the re-programed ECU's. They are pretty limited. If you intend to modify the cars power level then I would go ahead and get something programmable. The power FC is the most commonly used one. I've had several but like my current AEM the best.

Yep, you'd be able to find tuners for the Power FC more. AEM is a good unit but hard to find a guy that can tune it.

Are AEM's starting to get popular with te 7 crowd. I always wonder because everyone uses the PFC. Is there any benefit to running an AEM EMS?

If you want a PFC, I have one with no commander that I can ship to you for $500. Not in a hurry to sell, it's just sitting here.

Yeah, why install a plug-and-play ecu that uses the factory sensors when you can rip all that out and create your own wiring harness?

I fail to see why anyone installs anything other than a PFC on a street-driven car. The Haltechs and Microtechs are more for race cars IMO.

And since the OP can't spend enough energy or time to do any research on his own, I advise him to pick up a used Pettit ecu, as it requires no effort/time to work with.
