Aftermarket Cruise Control for R1?

I am looking to get an aftermarket cruise control for my R1 since it didn't come with it from the factory. I do alot of highway driveing and would prefer to get cruise. Has any one installed an aftermarket cruise system on an FD? Or should I attempt to find a complete factory system? I know JC whitney has a system for $120 w/ vaccum canistor (do I need the vaccum canister?) What would I have to connect the wires to? Or should I take it to a stereo place to have it installed?

It comes with the Mitsubishi motor taken out from the engine bay. The cruise control switch is still on the wheel, I can try to take it off.

There's also an on/off switch in the gauge cluster and a computer next to the fuse box.
