Aftermarket clutch slave cyl???

After talking to a couple friends with high HP cars, they were telling me that when they upgrade their clutch to a heavier pressure plate, they can get aftermarket clave cly's to ease the pressure on the pedal. Has anyone ever heard of one of these for an FD?

I've never heard of anyone doing that. You should upgrade the line to the slave cylinder with an SS one though.

Rynberg said it all as usual. Never heard of a after market slave for the car and the ss line is even a good up grade for the stock cluth much, more feeling in the pedal.

SS lines help with the engagement point when going to a heavier clutch. With the stock rubber lines, the increased hydraulic pressure from a heavy pressure plate swells the rubber line and gives you an engagement point very close to the floor. An SS line returns the engagement point to the middle.

My old FC had an ACT Xtreme pressure plate, and it was a bit heavy but not too bad. I've driven stock cars that had almost the same feel.

In theory, a large slave would work, but our slave cylinder is a bit weird and no one's made one that I know of.

I have the ACT PP with stock rubber lines. I wonder if that's the reason I sometimes have a tough time getting it in gear. A transmission guy told me it feels like the clutch isn't disengaging. Problem only happened after I had aftermarket PP installed.
