Unhappy after putting my rats nest back in my air pump is in constant "moo" mode.

I've had my rat's nest in and out so many times I've become surgical with it. This last time I did an operation and fired the car back up the air pump decided to just stay on. What could I have messed up to cause this?
For now I just unplugged the bastard so I don't have to deal with it. I guess thats one of the nice things about having a PFC.

If the gasket slipped when you bolted the air control valve back on to the LIM or if you left the hose off to the air control valve it will moo.

Did you plug in all the plugs to the ACV? Did you get all 3 10mm nuts tightened down to spec?

Could be a cracked air hose on the back of the air pump also. Did you check the air pump hoses?

If I remember right the same thing happened to me, the UIM had pitched a hose when I put it back on.

everything looked good on the ACV, bolted up the 3 bolts correctly along with the air hose that connects to it. Electrical appeared fine. one thing to note was the 1" diameter valve that sits behind the gasket fell out when I took it apart, not knowing much about it, I set it back in the way it fell out. Could it be that there were more goodies that fell out besides the valve itself?

Since I unplugged the pump the car has been running cherry. I guess I'll take another look later. This nest and smog system is such a pain in the ***.

There are no other parts to fall out, but it only goes in one way, yet it probably will fit in either way the dished part goes in toward the manifold.
