Advice on Lowering FD3
Hello everyone..
I want to lower my FD3.
I am not a autocrosser or some hardcore
track guy.
I just want to lower my car cosmetically.
I don't need any real high performance shocks and etc.
Looking for Cost conscience way to lower my FD3.
any recommendations or advice??
And NO i won't CUT my stock springs.

I don't have whole lot of advice on what springs to get. I have Rod Millen's springs that have since been discontinued. Shocks weren't in my budget because I had(ok wanted) to buy a ton of other stuff for my car, but I would have gotten shocks too if I would have had the $$.
On installing though, be very careful and make sure the springs line up on the rubber boots at the top and bottom of the shock perfectly or the shock won't go back on.

don't go too low
Try Neuspeed, they had some on sale for like $150 and dropped 1.25".
If you want comfort, get Racing Beat because it's only 7% stiffer.

I'd say go with racing beat. They're alittle stiffer but lowers the car perfectly. Mine sits about a finger from the front and 2 in the rear. Looks awesome from a distance (slammed) look but it's really not. That's good for us rotorguys because you don't want to scrape your precious FC/FD right? Good luck in choosing.

dclin was selling those Neuspeed's on ebay, supposedly they are really H&R's rebadged as Neuspeed. I got my Rod Millen's off of him for a good price. If you don't see them on ebay then PM him and see if he has anymore sets of Neuspeeds.

The problem i have is that i have
19inch Rims.. I think I should only
lower the front end about 1/2 inch
and rear end maybe 3/4 -1 inch only.
Are those springs you guys mentioned
adjustable? or just come in a set size
to lower your car??
I personally LIke the lower look, where
the fender comes down over the tires
just alittle bit.. Saw a Supra like that
and it looked Tight..
So anyone here have 19inch Rims on their FDs??
If So how much you lower your car??

Sound like you need adj Coil overs. I have eibach pro kits, they would definitely be wrong for yourcar since they are sagging and my tiny 17's are rubbuing on the driver's side fender and ruining the paint!
Hey, if you find a good & inexpensive place that sells adj coil overs, please send me an email: jpandes@hotmail.com. I've seen them all over for $600 for adj coild overs. But That's more than I want to spend for springs.

Scrape scrape scrape is all your gonna hear driving around with 19" wheels that are tucking tire. I have 17's on 40 series with proper offset, koni shocks and RB springs. The inner linning of my fender wells looks like I drug them around behind my car with a rope for a few days. Seriously, I know 5 guys with FD's and the all have battle scars, none of which are close to tucking tire. Besides, don't you wanna be able to still hammer corners and be able to hit the occasional bump? If it is a pure show car than get coilovers and slam the hell outta it. You've been warned

I myself also have 19" rims, and I also have this same problem. I recently put a few grand into a custom paint job only to rip down the rolled under edge of the passenger side fender and crack the paint. NOT GOOD! Personally, i am tryin to sell these wheels to get some 18's as so i can lower it like i want to. Any more help on this matter would be greatly appreciated by me as well.
