Adding coolant
Hello All.
I am having an issue adding my coolant. I have no AST and no TB coolant line both were deleted.
I have about 1/2 gallon in and I can add about a cup every 6 hrs. Any suggestions?
Can I start the car and start pouring? Seems dangerous to me. I been squeezing the hell outta my radiator hoses trying to burp the damn thing and of course I have the hoses with the metal coils in them so they can twist around.
ANy help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Did you already drain the cooling system and you were only able to get a half gallon initially in?
Did you drain the block too?
You might want to invest in one of these:

Hey bro,
Thanks for the quick reply
Yeah drained the block and rad. Took out about 1 3/4 gallons of coolant.
Last time I did this I had the ast and it went much smoother.
I assume since I have no ast and no TB coolant line the air is pushed up into the system and has no where to escape from.
Yeah I was looking at those devices. Prob a little late for that since I already have the air trapped. Will def buy next time.
Also read the post on using the 2 litre bottle cut in half at teh filler neck but not sure that will work because the air will still have no where to go. Unless the pressure from the extra coolant hanging way above the filler neck will provide the force needed to force the coolant down and the air out. Shoulda took physics in college?
Thought this was gonna be a 30 min job. LOL On my 36 th hour. And I am getting ready to rebuild an engine. Prob take me 50 years.

Just find the highest coolant line you can and disconnect it to aid in letting air escape. How was the TB line deleted? Is the hose coming off the back of the block there but capped off, or was the block capped off? If the hose is still there and capped, that would be where I would go. Otherwise...hmmmmmm....let's see....your best bet might be the upper radiator hose coming off the filler neck housing.
