ACV removal stock computer

just wondering what you guys with stock comp are doing when you remove acv, there are 3 plugs on the unit, do you put a resistor for each plug, or just leave them out

thanks

well if you remove the ACV it's because you remove the air pump and if you remove the air pump it's because you removed the main cat which anyway isn't a good idea if you still have the stock ecu so i guess nobody ever cared to think about it.

at least, this is what i think

Puma , the air pumps out, now Im taking out ACV, yeah I have the stock ecu, but its also piggy backed for fuel, thats why I'm asking about the resistors to the ACV, Im not sure if you put them in or just leave the plugs, I just dont wanna trigger code

I guess if no one know's Im just gonna have to try

oh ok, pretty sure you need to put resistor, but if you don't, the worst that's going to happen, is that you will get codes on the ecu, which doesn't bother anything.

so for sure it works with resistors

maybe I'll try no resistors on acv later to see if it get any trouble codes

What value resistors are you guys using for the ACV and EGR connectors?

Men, just went through this on my 93. I removed the acv and got no codes...but then replace with pettit unlimited and got code 30, 33, 39 which are all acv relative. I simply removed the solenoids (x3) from the acv and plugged them to the engine harness...no codes. I think the 94 and 95 ecu will give you a code if these are left unterminated. Why use the resistors when you can used the wires that clip on nicely to the harness?

Dave a KD said the same to "tuck the wires under the UIM neatly..."

Hope this helps.

When Garfinkle makes a block off plate for the acv with a stock ecu ,He attaches three nuts to the plate to hold the solenoids .He also puts a piece to hold the turbo control valve . Simple and clean .
