wow, thats a lot of money..... given the fact that it is the real ones. i myself have had 4 pairs of the real ones and i sold them all on ebay. i wanted one for my car but they look exactly the same and i get to make (or not spend) $450 on them so i have the converted ones that i have done!
they turn out really good! youcant tell the difference until you put your face on the lense. the converted ones will have a little glossy black surface while the real ones are flat black. i can spray the lenses with a different spray to make them look like that but i have researched it before i started the 99 spec conversions and the paint that i use on there now is a little more expensive and a little more glossy, but it will last forever!

Got my '99 Lense 2day!!!
First thing I noticed were that the circles were actually extruding...about 1 mm higher than the black liner (Converted circles would sit below the liner - reaally need to get close). And the indicators reflectors are more noticable...slighty. But yeah I would say there isn't a significant difference, its very subtle.
I'll try post pictures, but its a PIA coz you have to get the lighting right due reflective nature of the lense cover
Was it worth it? I would say it depends on the price
I got mine for $160 for a pair.

thanks chickenwing. if you happen to get a good angle on it post up the pic, but I would have to agree that it would be a PIA to show off a small difference like that.
Ok I tried getting pictures but my camera is crap...but i did find a pic on ebay that does show the lense bevel.
Notice the lighting around the circle...yeps thats a difference!!! lol. I find the indicator reflector lensing is more apparent on the S8 lights than my aus s6 items.
Not much of a difference. I got used oem's for cheap so i can sleep easy at night.
